Opinion: The COVID vaccine success story can be a springboard for future research

In theU.S, only 1% of immune-impaired US adults have gotten the recommended 5 COVID vaccine doses

Only 41% of US adults with impaired immune systems, who are at high risk for poor COVID-19 outcomes, have received four doses of mRNA vaccine, and less than 1% had received the recommended five doses as of August, according to a study published late last week in JAMA Network Open.

Covid booster shots should be taken annually--Yale study

Healthy people should get annual COVID-19 boosters to prevent widespread outbreaks, a new study from Yale University suggests.

Yearly shots provide just enough frequency to prevent huge outbreaks, while not putting an undo burden on people.

Covid-19 antibody levels jump among elderly after autumn booster--British study

Some 96.3% of people aged 80 and over in England were likely to have antibodies at the start of December 2022, up from 89.2% in early September.

For 75 to 79-year-olds, the proportion stands at 95.8%, up from 87.4%.   ...
